PGMs - what makes us different
SFA (Oxford) are a world authority on the market dynamics of platinum group metals production and consumption. We also provide impartial strategic intelligence and direction on the industry and market dynamics of PGMs.
The company was established in 2001 and incorporated in 2005. Using our globally recognised expertise in the economics of the PGM supply (or value) chain, we provide a unique, confidential, in-depth market service to PGM producers worldwide. In addition to regular monitoring of producer cost and profit dynamics out to 2030 and beyond, SFA (Oxford) has completed significant modelling of major PGM end uses and their evolution in order to ascertain robust PGM recycling profiles in the automotive and petroleum refining sectors. All other areas of PGM demand are also independently modelled with regionally based growth monitoring.
SFA (Oxford) has a number of distinguished associates from Oxford Economics, the University of Oxford and the London School of Economics. Where appropriate, we can draw on their expertise to strengthen our regional and global macroeconomic PGM demand analytics for long-range forecasting purposes and for support in researching the regional risks affecting PGM production in South Africa, Russia and Zimbabwe.
