Oliver Osborne recently joined SFA (Oxford) as a Commodity Analyst, supporting research and analysis across critical minerals, PGMs and wider commodity markets. Olly co-creates the Heraeus Precious Appraisal, providing insightful market reporting and is valued globally in the precious metals community. He focuses on weekly developments in the precious metals markets and on how macroeconomic, supply-and-demand trends may impact prices and future performance. Olly brings a strong interest in financial markets, statistics and current affairs, alongside experience in financial model validation, quantitative analysis and AI-related research. Before joining SFA, he worked on complex development finance models and applied computational methods across projects in quantum hardware, cryogenic electronics, automated testing and data analysis.

Olly holds a first-class integrated master’s degree in Physics from the University of Leeds and also studied at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he focused on computational physics, data science, non-linear dynamics and biophysics.
