AUTO SALES: China Car Sales Go From Strength to Strength as Virus Eases

Car sales continued to recover in China last month as the coronavirus pandemic eased in the country and electric vehicles won more users. Retail sales of cars, SUVs and multiple-purpose vehicles increased 8% from a year earlier to 2.02 million units in October, the, the China Passenger Car Association said Monday. Wholesales of new energy vehicles, which includes electric cars, more than doubled to 144,000 units.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES: Electric vehicle adoption in India will be led by three-wheelers

Electric vehicles will account for 65-75% of new three-wheeler (3W) sales by 2030. Intra-city transport buses will see 25-40% EV penetration and two-wheelers 25-35%. In four-wheeler passenger vehicles, the market will be driven by shared mobility, while just 10-15% of new car sales for personal mobility will be electric.

ACQUISITION: Livent in deal to buy Nemaska, extend Tesla contract
